Your Local Expert in Hypermobility& Strength Training

So what inspired me to create a unique approach to strength training for those affected by joint instability?

Well for starters, I myself have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Although I was born with it, it wasn't until I was 19 that I was officially diagnosed. At this point in my life, I was riddled with pain, unable to maintain my active lifestyle and nobody had answers for me. Nobody knew how to help me. I was in school for massage therapy hoping desperately to find magic answers both for myself and those around me with similar struggles.

It wasn't until I truly began to understand how the human body works that I started to piece together solutions not just for myself, but for those around me that had similar issues. I was able to help so many people that hadn't been helped before. I was able to apply my knowledge from college and beyond- including my experience as a competitive powerlifter to help an under represented group.

It didn't take long for me to realize that I could help more people, more effectively if I moved away from the career of massage therapy and into training people so that I could teach them how to move more comfortably with their individual limitations in mind rather than passively manipulating tissues on the massage table only for them to go right back to the way they were within days. I finally learned how to make a real difference for people and that is why I shifted gears into training people.

Whether you're dealing with joint instability, pain, or just want to train in a way that works for your body, I can help.
